BeAWhale designed and developed Baria, a cross-platform messaging app that eliminates the language barrier through automatic text translation and AI-powered voice cloning. The MVP shipped across iOS, Android, and Windows in 3 months with a team of 4 specialists.
People who speak different languages interact every day — in mixed families, international workplaces, and cross-border communities. But existing translation tools force people out of their conversations. Copy-paste workflows, robotic voice output, and app-switching friction all erode something that should feel natural: talking to someone you care about.
Baria’s founder came to BeAWhale with a clear vision: build a messaging app where language barriers simply don’t exist. Not translation bolted onto chat — but translation woven into every text, every voice message, every shared file.
And the most ambitious piece? Reproduce the sender’s actual voice in the recipient’s language. Four months. Three platforms. Real AI voice cloning in production.
Every incoming message is automatically translated into the recipient’s language. Users type in their own language — recipients read in theirs.
Voice messages are transcribed, translated, and reproduced using the sender’s cloned voice. The recipient hears a voice they recognize, speaking their language.
Native apps for iOS, Android, and Windows desktop. Message history, contacts, and settings synchronize across all devices in real time.
Management dashboard for user administration and permissions. CI/CD pipelines and SSL encryption. Dark and light mode across all platforms
Baria’s voice pipeline operates in four steps. The sender records naturally in their language — and the recipient hears it in theirs, in a voice that sounds like the person who sent it.
Sender records a voice message in their native language
Speech-to-text converts audio to written text
Text is translated into the recipient’s language
TTS reproduces the message in the sender’s voice
How fast can you deliver an AI-powered MVP?
We delivered Baria – a cross-platform messaging app with real-time translation and AI voice cloning – in 5 months across iOS, Android, and Windows. That included design, development, AI integration, CI/CD, and app store deployment. Timeline scales with scope, but a production-ready MVP with AI features is realistic within one quarter.
Do you build apps that integrate AI & machine learning?
Yes – it’s a core part of what we do. For Baria, we implemented a full AI pipeline: speech-to-text transcription, machine translation, and TTS with voice cloning that reproduces messages in the sender’s original voice. We handle API selection, model fine-tuning, and production optimization so the AI actually works at scale, not just in a demo.
Can you shop one product across iOS, Android, and desktop?
Yes. Baria launched on the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the Microsoft Store within a single 4-month engagement – with full cross-device sync for messages, contacts, and settings. We manage all three platform builds, QA, and store submissions as one coordinated delivery.
How big of a team would work on my project?
We scale teams to fit the scope. Baria – a 3-platform app with AI voice cloning – was delivered by 4 specialists: 1 frontend developer, 2 backend engineers, and 1 designer. You work with one team from architecture through deployment, not multiple vendors stitched together.
Do you handle deployment and infrastructure, or just the code?
End-to-end. For Baria, we set up CI/CD pipelines, database architecture, SSL encryption, an admin panel, the product website, and submitted to all three app stores. You get a fully deployed, production-ready product – not a codebase you need to figure out how to ship.
What types of products does BeAWhale build?
Cross-platform mobile apps, web platforms, AI integrations, and blockchain solutions. We work across technology, blockchain, and consumer product sectors – from early-stage MVPs like Baria to scaled platforms with hundreds of thousands of users.
