BeAWhale built Ballistic Freaks from the ground up – a browser-based fast-paced 2D PvP game with NFT characters on Ethereum and gameplay on Polygon. The scope covered game architecture, programming, character and world design, sound design, a product website with NFT minting, and social media management to build the player community.
A playable browser-based PvP shooter where every character is an NFT with real in-game function. A website that handles minting, referrals, and project information. Social media channels that build a community of players, not just speculators. And all of it tied together with Ethereum for ownership and Polygon for fast, cheap gameplay transactions.
BeAWhale owned the entire build – from game concept and character design through programming, sound, website, and community management. Not a single piece was outsourced.
A browser-based 2D PvP platformer – last freak standing wins. Parties up to 4, bet placement on matches, designed for quick sessions and high replayability.
BeAWhale designed every character, the game world, and the lore from scratch. Holders get playable in-game characters, P2E access, loot drops, and leaderboard eligibility.
An interactive product site with NFT minting, referral code system, character showcases, roadmap, and game news. Not a landing page – a full Web3 storefront.
Original soundtrack and in-game sound effects built in-house. Twitter and Discord created and managed by BeAWhale.
The project runs across two chains. NFT ownership lives on Ethereum – the standard for digital asset provenance and secondary market trading. Gameplay runs on Polygon – fast block times, low gas fees, and EVM compatibility that keeps the in-game economy responsive without costing players per action.
Can you build a Web3 game from scratch?
Yes. For Ballistic Freaks we built the entire product – game architecture, programming, character design, world design, sound design, NFT smart contracts, website, and community management. No outsourcing. One team handled everything from concept to live product.
Do you handle game design and art, or just the code?
Both. BeAWhale designed all 4 characters with 2,500 variations each, the game world, visual identity, and lore. We also created the original soundtrack and all in-game sound effects. You get a complete creative and technical build under one roof.
Can you build NFT smart contracts and integrate them with a game?
Yes. For Ballistic Freaks we deployed 10,000 NFTs on Ethereum with a minting website, referral system, and wallet-based game authentication. NFT ownership unlocks in-game features – playable characters, P2E access, loot drops, and leaderboard eligibility.
Do you manage community and social media for Web3 projects?
Yes. We created and ran the Ballistic Freaks Twitter and Discord from scratch – content strategy, community engagement, announcements, and player onboarding. The Discord reached over 1,100 members and Twitter passed 5,500 followers through organic community building.
Can you build on multiple blockchains in one project?
Yes. Ballistic Freaks uses Ethereum for NFT ownership and Polygon for gameplay transactions. BeAWhale handles multi-chain architecture, smart contract deployment across networks, and the bridge logic that connects them into a single user experience.
What types of Web3 products does BeAWhale build?
Games, DeFi apps, NFT platforms, token launches, and blockchain infrastructure. We work across Ethereum, Polygon, and other EVM-compatible chains – from full game builds like Ballistic Freaks to DeFi banking apps like Bink. Every engagement includes design, development, and deployment. See more at beawhale.io/projects.
